Screening for High Expression of GFP
In screening assays, like the example at the top, the well with the highest expression of Green Fluorescent Protein (GFP) is rapidly detected and viewed with the plate map feature. The highest GFP expression is in well B8, as noted by the bright pink color. (Jurkat cells were transduced with a GFP probe in the laboratory of Dr. Jiing-Kuan Yee and analyzed by the Analytical Cytometry core of the Beckman Research Center at the City of Hope Cancer Center, Duarte, California.)
Lower left, individual wells that had a high mean fluorescence are displayed and compared for confirmation.
